Vicomp Inc. was formed in 1992 by it's current owner Lance Rightmyer. Lance is a graduate of Alfred State College with an Associates degree in Mechanical Design and Drafting. Immediately after graduating, Lance started as a technician in the sign shop at Eastman Kodak Company's Display and Exhibit Department. When Kodak decided to close the department, Lance was in a position to purchase the department's assets and thus began Vicomp. Vicomp is short for Visual Communication Productions as we wanted a name that conveyed that we are more than just signs! We have re-located several times over the years in an attempt to set up the ideal location, and are happy with our current retail location in the Village of Webster and our fabrication facility. We have upheld our reputation as being the go-to guys when your situation requires knowledge of a broad range of materials and unique engineering solutions as well as attention to detail and a willingness to get it done right! For fun, Lance is the Director of Prime Time Brass band, and is also an instrument rated private pilot.

Also on board is Creative Director Brian Wilt. Brian has over 15 years in the sign industry with experience working around Upstate NY. His energetic approach to sign manufacturing is noticeable in his work. You can see Brian at the front counter servicing customers, in the shop applying vinyl, at the design station, or working sales on the road. His experience varies greatly and you will benefit from his interactions. Brian is currently the Webster High School Marching Band Director where he is responsible for all aspects of fielding a world class marching band from fundraising, music and visual arrangements and transportation. He is also involved with the Rochester Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and his many years of Drum Corps experience are serving him well in Webster!

In addition, Eric Sheffinger is the guy in the shop getting it done! Eric has been with Vicomp just over one year and is working part-time as he continues his education at MCC where he is currently pursuing a degree in Art. His talents are a good fit at Vicomp and you'll notice his attention to detail in the projects that he prepares.
